We Are Always On
Our team of award-winning health and science communicators love what we do and who we are doing it with.
Created by industry veteran, Mary Conway, and powered by a team of passionate professionals, MKC Strategies offers a fresh alternative for companies and organizations in health & science that are seeking seasoned counsel, but prefer the focus and personal touch of a small integrated agency. Mary’s approach is grounded in the philosophy that you don’t have to be big to deliver great results, but you do have to be always on to recognize opportunities.
We get people and know what matters to them. We find the inflection points where you can make a difference.
We stay on top of what is happening every day while remaining focused on your business. We don’t limit our thinking to what’s in scope. We take a wide lens view, and bring you insights and ideas to drive your success. Ultimately, our success is a result of yours.

Mary K. Conway
Starting with insights and landing on incredible is how Mary approaches each project. Her twenty plus years in marketing and communications has spanned the arts and science landscape to amass a rare depth of experience that covers a who’s who of the world’s most recognized companies – Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Amgen, Pfizer, Bayer, Gerber, Merck, Estee Lauder, Allergan, Mylan – and products – Diet Coke, Tylenol, Listerine, EpiPen, Botox, Zantac, Zoloft, Boniva, Viagra… and the list goes on.
She’s supported discoveries aimed at meeting the needs of patients with rare diseases including progeria, SMA and amyloidosis, as well as lesser talked about conditions tardive dyskinesia and hyperhidrosis. She’s shaped strategies to launch emerging biotechs, worked on stories to celebrate game-changing researchers, and has driven awareness of the important pre-clinical work of early biotechs. She has also driven memorable stories and experiences for the Municipal Art Society of NY, Museum of Jewish Heritage, Food Allergy Research & Education, and the PTSD Alliance.
From this deep experience, Mary has earned a collection of the industry’s highest awards. In the past year alone, the programs and strategies she led have earned three 2019 Platinum Hermes Creative Awards, 2018 PRNews Agency Elite Award in Media Relations, 2018 MarCom Platinum Award and three 2018 MarCom Gold Awards.
On the home front, Mary founded the Long Beach Football Club which has fielded more than 3,000 youth soccer players, has coached youth lacrosse, and co-created a leading beach product, Powder Pouch, that brushes off sand. Mary published her first book in 2005, Mother’s Little Helper, during a maternity leave to help other moms navigate baby’s first year. The book was medically approved by multiple hospital systems and for several years was distributed to moms at all maternity wards on Long Island.
A graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts in communications, Mary lives on Long Island with her husband, four children, and two dogs. When it’s time to recharge, Mary can be found on boat, beach or backyard enjoying friends and family.
